The P.O.S./Retail Services Department maintains five (5) Retail Zones; three (3) in the Ocala Division, and two (2) in the Pompano Beach Division.
Various stores have their “private” zones that are maintained by the computer or manually by the individual stores, if so desired.
The in-house price zones vary in gross profits depending on the individual store’s needs. We coordinate an E.D.L.P. (Everyday Low Price) Program with the Buying Department. Also a Top 100 Program is coordinated quarterly.
We work closely with the stores to assure their retail prices are where the store fells they need to be. The P.O.S/Retail Services Department also sends out a Shurfine Compare & Save Program, which helps the stores stay competitive on private label products. Cost change updates are provided weekly with updates to retail and tags, to keep the store profitable.
